Zone Leader!
What's up everybody can't believe I have been here for a week already! My district is so amazing. They are literally all goats. The zusters in the district are the best and the 4 elders in the district we all are in the same room and they are absolute goats!
The Provo MTC is amazing. The food is actually not that bad here. We have been having a lot of Hawaiian bowls like mo betahs and sack lunches with sandwiches, soup and salad. The campus is huge here so there are tons of beautiful spots to do personal study and play games. I am loving it here in the mtc everybody is so nice and friendly and everyone shows christ love and its such a spiritual place. My Dutch and PMG classes are amazing. The spirit is so strong in those classes. It's crazy how much Dutch we have learned in 1 week I know and have seen how real and powerful the gift of tongues is.
The second day in the provo mtc we had a cool experience. We had the new English and the Dutch district share why they were serving a mission, and their testimony the spirit was so strong as people shared their reason for the mission and what they believed about this church. Then after it the branch president called some of us in and gave us callings. Me and my companion became zone leaders which is crazy. It's been two days! So that day we lead branch prayer. Branch prayer is one of the coolest moments. We all get together as elders and share how we have seen God's hand in our life and then pray then all say love you elders and hug each other.
While I have been at the MTC I have seen so many people Sawyer Jensen, Jake Redder, Clara Johnson, Rachel Crossman, Ethan Mohamend, Liam Riley.
It's crazy how much I have changed from home to mtc and mtc because during mission prep I couldn't teach a lesson to save my life. While helping others with assignments where we teach an investigator, me and my companion have been giving great lessons and are able to teach for 25 min now about something the investigator is struggling with in one of the coolest and most spiritual times ever. The spirit is as strong as your teaching the investigator. Tomorrow me and my companion have are first Helping Others in Dutch so I am a little scared and nervous but it will be a learning experience
The district is so much fun we have been playing tons of basketball and volleyball and working out. Also are whole district has a goal to talk Dutch to certain places. Which has help my Dutch improve like crazy!
Sunday was one of the coolest experiences ever going to sacrament meeting in the mtc was one of my most spiritual experiences I felt the spirit so strong. It was amazing seeing all the missionaries there and the talks they give it was so personal and meaningful to all of us missionaries. They talked about how we need to put all are heart and effort and soul to him and not lean only on are understanding. Also about how not skip personal study because that is the greatest way we are able to talk and communicate with God.
Then on Tuesday we had a Seventy speak to us Carl B Cook of the seventy. I love what he said when he talked about faith he said how faith is not worrying and knowing that Jesus Chrisy and Heavenly Father love each and everyone of us. He also talked about how we need to strive for daily repentance because its one of the greatest gifts in life and fastest way to connect with Jesus Christ. Also he talked about an experience that he shared to me when I meet him about not looking down always looking up to God. When he shared that message it was one of the craziest experiences I rembered like it was yesterday meeting him the room and what he talked about and everything and how loving the prophets were also I meet him 10 years ago. It was one of the coolezt experiences ever I have never had that happen it really testified to me how powerful the holy ghost is and Jesus Christ.
Read this Talk a couple days ago ago I love this quote it really teaches about Christ Character and how he always has his hand reached out waiting for you to grab it and draw closer to him
Love Like Jesus from Rasband October 26Love is not stepping back or sanctioning others’ decisions and actions. Love is being interested in their lives, their successes, and their challenges. Love is being there with arms outstretched and a cheerful countenance. Love is lifting with faith and hope in our Lord and Savior. Love relies upon the calming influence of the Holy Ghost
